Feature — Compare

Apples-to-apples, every time.

Every comparison on Vantic runs on the same Athletic Performance Score methodology underneath, so two numbers next to each other are actually comparable.

Three ways to compare

Line a player up against their current teammates to see where they sit in the squad right now. Line this year's intake up against last year's at the same point in pre-season, to see whether a new group is ahead of or behind where the previous one was. Or line a player up against the sport-wide benchmark for their age and gender, to judge them against a real standard instead of a guess.

Why a constant methodology matters

A comparison is only useful if both sides of it were measured the same way. Because every score on the platform — this season's, last season's, a teammate's, a benchmark's — comes from the same underlying calculation, a coach never has to wonder whether they're comparing a real difference in ability against a difference in how the numbers were produced.
